Oddly fascinating
You have to admire the director (William "One Take" Beaudine) and the cast. They shot this in just eight days. It's not a perfect film by any means, but

I give them credit for making it. It looks a lot better than many indie horror films I've seen. The cast is full of faces you'll recognize if you're a fan of TV or movie westerns from the 50's and 60's, including the guy who would end up playing Jock Ewing on "Dallas" and the guy who played the boat captain in "Creature from the Black Lagoon" and "Revenge of the Creature." A neat reason to watch this movie is to see Maria Frankenstein's lab equipment. It's the same stuff used in the Universal "Frankenstein" movies and this gives you a rare chance to see it in color.
